About The Sanctuary
WHAT WE BELIEVE AT THE SANCTUARY
We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion.
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38)
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. (Acts 2:4)
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. (Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11)
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN VISITING
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24)
We pray together out loud because the Bible says, “… they lifted up their voice to God with one accord…” (Acts 2:24)
We sing with all our hearts because the Bible says, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praises.” (Psalms 98:4)
We lift our hands in praise because the Bible says, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” (Psalms 134:2)
We play musical instruments because the Bible says, “…all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments…” (Psalms 134:2)
We clap and shout unto God because the Bible says, “…O clap your hands all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” (Psalms 47:1)
We dance in the spirit because the Bible says, “Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with the stringed instruments and organs.”
(Psalms 150:4)
We anoint with oil for divine healing because the Bible says, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…” (James 5:14-15)
We allow the operation of spiritual gifts because the Bible says, “Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church…covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.” (1 Corinthians 14:12, 39)
